General FAQs

Are there any cost for using 3DWhiffletree?

Absolutely No. 3DWhiffletree is a 100% free software.

Do I need to install 3DWhiffletree?

No. Just download 3DWhiffletree.exe and 3DWTSystem.ini, then, place them together in the same folder. The program is stand-alone and do not require installation or change the registry.

I cannot run 3DWhiffletree. If I try to open it, it will give me an error saying my PC does not have updated .NET Framework.

It is unusual for recent widows version or service pack, but your PC may not have .NET Framework installed. Please go to Microsoft web page to install the updated .NET Framework. (See Help.)

I cannot run 3DWhiffletree. If I try to open it, it will give me an error message saying I don't have "3DWTSystem.ini".

Make sure you have downloaded 3DWhiffletree.ini and have it placed in the same folder where 3DWhiffletree.exe is located. (Download it here.)

Is there "undo" button?

Sorry, currently there is undo button. However, this function will be added in the future.

I'm an Abaqus user. Can 3DWhiffletree read Abaqus input (.inp) file?

Abaqus input file currently is not supported. However, Abaqus can export bata in Nastran bulk format (.blk). 3DWhiffletree can read Abaqus-created blk input file.
